I question the question mark, with its bent back, doubled over with inquiry. It sits patiently, whilst awaiting a reply; its voice fades in time, but echoes in thought. I question the question mark, waiting on a full stop, which forces it to stay. I dare say, it does not move; stuck to the spot, where a dot dictates. I question the question mark, the speech of the before, pushing it to the edge, and higher. The tone climbs, a ladder of interrogative instruction, carrying it through. I question the question mark, but I do not question the motive it is charged with. It shows no signs of ageing, taking on many appearances: discovery or challenge. I question the question mark, with its incomplete form, of a circle, half present. A call for reassurance; eclipsed by the doubt of existence, of an answer yet to come.
